We’ve created 5 fun and unique Christmas DIYs for the whole family to enjoy this holiday season. Check out our Christmas crafts here!

The coziest month of the year is here! Hot chocolate, Christmas, and of course, the most fun DIYs and crafts from Babysits.

This year, we’ve put together the best DIYs that you can make with the kids this holiday season. They’re also a great activity to do together when babysitting!

To make it easier for you, we’ve filmed a “Making of” of each DIY. That way, you can see how to make the crafts step by step, and pause or rewind if you need.

Paper snow globe

In this DIY we’re making a snow globe using a paper plate. We had a lot of fun making this DIY. Curious to see how we made it? Take a look at our video!

Materials

  • Paper plate
  • Plastic wrap
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Paint
  • Decorations (we used mini pom poms as "snow".)

Make your own snow globe craft

Of course, we couldn’t only make a paper snow globe, we had to make a normal one too! It’s surprisingly easy to make your own snow globe (you can even recycle some materials to make it). And, it’s really nice as a decoration or to give as a gift!

Materials

  • Jar
  • Christmas tree decoration
  • Water with oil and glue
  • Glitter
  • White paint

Christmas origami - origami Santa and star

Did you know that you can make your own Santa and star without scissors, glue, or tape? All you need is colored paper and clear instructions to make this awesome Christmas themed origami. Try it out now!

  • Paper
  • (Optional - glue)

Reindeer DIY

How does Santa deliver all his gifts? With the help of his trusty reindeer of course!

These reindeer are so cute that they deserve their own craft project. Watch the video to learn the steps for this reindeer diy!

What you need:

  • Brown paper
  • Grey paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker

Christmas candle holder craft

What makes for a cozy Christmas more than some candles? This craft transforms an old pot or jar into a candle holder. To make it safer for the kids, you can use battery powered candle lights in the candle holder.

Materials needed

  • Jar
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Candle (battery-powered light)
  • (Optional: because we weren't using a real candle, we used colored pom poms as decoration inside the jar.)

We hope you enjoy making these DIYs and have a wonderful holiday season! Did you make one? We’d love it if you’d share with us on social media at @Babysits!
